Roddy Digital

Roddy Digital in Cardiff

An AI agency in Cardiff that builds what your business runs on.

I'm Rhodri Williams, and Roddy Digital is the AI-first agency I founded in 2021. We work from an office on Penhill Road in Pontcanna and build the websites, platforms and automations that Cardiff businesses run on, then look after them once they are live.

This page is the map. It covers who we are, what we do across our four pillars, what it costs, and which of our Cardiff pages fits the problem in front of you. If you would like to talk it through, I take the first call myself.

Who is behind Roddy Digital in Cardiff?

I am. I have spent fifteen years in websites and digital marketing. I started in sales, moved into marketing, and often ended up running business development from inside marketing roles. Along the way I worked on brands including Vodafone, Sainsbury's, Airbus and LVMH.

That mix shapes how we work. I care about what a website or an automation does for your pipeline, so every brief starts with the commercial question: where do your enquiries come from, and where do they leak?

I founded Roddy Digital Limited in 2021 and I lead every engagement personally, so the person who scopes your project is the person accountable for it. Our office is at 11-13 Penhill Rd in Pontcanna. Day-to-day calls happen on Zoom, which keeps things quick for owners right across South Wales, and you are welcome to meet at the office by arrangement.

What does an AI-first agency do for a Cardiff business?

Most people searching for a digital agency in Cardiff want one of two things: more of the right enquiries, or less time lost to admin. As an AI-first agency, we build with AI from the start: in how we research and write, in the tools we hand over, and in the automations that take repetitive work off your team. The work falls into four pillars.

Brand & Positioning

Getting clear on who you serve and why they should pick you, then turning that into messaging your website and sales conversations can use. See brand positioning.

Digital Products

Websites, web applications, landing pages and ecommerce. For most Cardiff firms the starting point is web design in Cardiff; for custom builds, portals and integrations, see website development in Cardiff.

Demand & Content

Getting found and chosen through search, content, ads and AI assistants. Our Cardiff pages cover SEO in Cardiff, AI search in Cardiff and online marketing in Cardiff.

AI & Automation

Workflows, integrations and AI tools that take repeat admin off your desk, plus training so your team uses them with confidence. See AI automation in Cardiff and AI training in Cardiff.

How does working with Roddy Digital work?

  1. A call with me on Zoom. We talk about the business, the numbers you care about and what has or has not worked before.
  2. A written scope. You get a clear plan with the investment set out before any work starts, or a package recommendation if one fits.
  3. The build. We design, write and build, and you review the work at agreed checkpoints.
  4. Launch and aftercare. We go live, set up tracking in GA4 and Search Console, and keep looking after what we built.

Most small businesses start with a website package. Bigger, longer engagements become a Growth Partnership, scoped over twelve months around the outcomes you want.

Throughout, you deal with me, and the investment is agreed in writing before work starts.

What does it cost to work with Roddy Digital?

We publish our prices because Cardiff owners should know the investment before the first call. Website packages start at £350 a month + VAT on a twelve-month term, with copywriting, hosting and set-up included. One-off brand work starts at £650, ongoing demand and content work at £450 a month, and AI and automation projects at £500. Ad hoc work is £95 an hour + VAT.

For businesses that need a joined-up programme across several pillars, a Growth Partnership is scoped over twelve months. Those are never priced in public because each one is built around a different set of goals. The summary is below and the full breakdown is on our packages page.

Why focus on Cardiff and South Wales?

This is where we live and work, and the market is bigger than many owners assume. The Cardiff Capital Region covers ten council areas, has a population of 1.5 million (almost half of Wales) and is home to 50,000 local businesses, according to the Cardiff Capital Region. Cardiff Council describes Cardiff as the UK's fastest-growing city, with population expected to grow faster than any of the Core Cities (source).

Growth brings competition. A plumber in Llanishen or an accountant in Canton is often up against firms from Newport to Bridgend for the same searches. How people search is shifting too: Ofcom reports that about 30% of searches now show AI overviews, and 53% of adults say they see these summaries often (source).

So our Cardiff work joins classic local SEO with AI search visibility. That combination is how Pest & Property Solutions now wins enquiries from Google and from ChatGPT.

How do I choose an agency in Cardiff?

Whoever you speak to, these five questions will tell you a lot.

  • Who does the work? Some agencies sell with a senior person and deliver with someone else. Find out who you will speak to each week.
  • Can I see results, with the client named? Enquiries, rankings or hours saved, from a business you could look up.
  • What does it cost over a full year? Monthly fees, hosting, licences and add-ons, added up.
  • Who owns what? The domain, the website, the content and your data should be set out in writing.
  • How do you use AI? A good answer is specific: where it speeds the work up, and where a person checks it.

I am happy to answer every one of those on a first call, and I would encourage you to ask anyone else you are considering the same.

Proof from Cardiff and beyond

Pest & Property Solutions, a 37-year-old Cardiff pest control business, launched its new site with us in June 2026. In its first 36 days of tracking it brought in 112 enquiries, with 82.7% coming from Google organic search. It now gets about 4 enquiries a day from organic traffic, and AI assistants such as ChatGPT are already a measurable source.

We also delivered a full brand and website for Apila PM, a London construction project management consultancy, in September 2026. Other clients include Swansea City Supporters' Trust, Bayti Real Estate (a website with real-time API integration to Bayut, with listings automated), Designer Fires, Centric Homes, JPL Solutions and Simtec Consult.

Rhodri and the team delivered a high-performance website with real-time API integration to Bayut. Our property listings are now fully automated, saving countless hours and significantly improving our lead flow.

Areas we serve

Newport

Newport sits just east of Cardiff on the M4 and the main rail line, and its businesses often compete in the same search results as Cardiff firms. Alongside trades and professional services, the area is part of the South Wales compound semiconductor cluster, so B2B firms here need websites that explain technical work in plain English. We run Newport projects on Zoom, and the Pontcanna office is within easy reach if you would like to meet by arrangement.

Swansea

Swansea is Wales' second city, with its own business community around the waterfront and its universities, and local buyers tend to look for Swansea firms first. We already work with Swansea City Supporters' Trust, so we understand how much local identity matters there. For Swansea businesses we build pages and Google Business Profiles around Swansea searches, run every meeting on Zoom, and welcome visits to our Cardiff office by arrangement.

Bridgend

Bridgend sits on the M4 between Cardiff and Swansea, which suits trades and service firms that cover both cities. The county also takes in Porthcawl, where hospitality and tourism businesses depend on being found by visitors planning a trip. Those two groups need different things: wide-area local SEO for the first, clear booking and enquiry routes for the second. We handle both on Zoom, with our Pontcanna office within reach if you prefer to meet in person.

Caerphilly

Caerphilly county borough stretches north from the edge of Cardiff through towns such as Caerphilly, Ystrad Mynach, Bargoed and Blackwood. Plenty of firms here serve customers in Cardiff as well as their own valleys, so their websites need to show up in both places without reading like a list of town names. We plan location pages that say something useful about each area, run the work on Zoom, and you can meet us in Pontcanna by arrangement.

Vale of Glamorgan

The Vale of Glamorgan runs from Penarth and Barry out to Cowbridge and the coast, with Cardiff Airport at Rhoose and a large business park at St Athan. Many Vale businesses are independent shops, hospitality venues and professional practices that trade on reputation, so their reviews, Google Business Profile and website need to tell the same story. We work with Vale owners on Zoom, and our Cardiff office is close by if you would like to meet.

Pontypridd

Pontypridd is one of the main towns in Rhondda Cynon Taf, with the University of South Wales campus at nearby Treforest and a high street serving a wide valleys catchment. Businesses here rely on people searching from the surrounding valleys, so a well-kept Google Business Profile and clear service-area pages do a lot of the heavy lifting. We run projects on Zoom, and Pontcanna is a straightforward trip down the A470 if you would like to meet by arrangement.

Questions Cardiff businesses ask

Where is Roddy Digital based in Cardiff?
Our office is at 11-13 Penhill Rd, Pontcanna, Cardiff CF11 9PQ. Most calls run on Zoom, which keeps meetings short and easy to fit around your day, and clients are welcome to meet at the office by arrangement. Call 07949 255 466 or email hello@roddy.digital to set up a first conversation with Rhodri.
What is an AI-first agency?
An AI-first agency uses AI throughout its own work, in research, writing, testing and reporting, and builds AI into what it delivers, such as automations, integrations and tools your team can use. At Roddy Digital that sits alongside the core work of websites, brand, search and content, and Rhodri leads every engagement personally.
Do you only work with businesses in Cardiff?
Cardiff is home, and we work with businesses across South Wales, including Newport, Swansea, Bridgend, Caerphilly, the Vale of Glamorgan and Pontypridd. We also work further afield: Apila PM, a London construction project management consultancy, is a recent brand and website client. Everything runs on Zoom, so distance makes little difference to how the work gets done.
How much does a website cost with Roddy Digital?
Our website packages are Kickstart at £350 a month (up to 10 pages), Accelerate at £650 a month (up to 25 pages) and Launch Pad at £1,000 a month (up to 50 pages), all + VAT on a twelve-month term. Each includes design, copywriting, on-page SEO, hosting, security and Google Business Profile set-up, with the site live in 30 days.
Who will I actually work with?
Rhodri Williams, the founder, leads every engagement personally. He has fifteen years in websites and digital marketing, starting in sales, and has worked on brands including Vodafone, Sainsbury's, Airbus and LVMH. You will speak to him on the first call and throughout the project, so the person who scopes the work is the person accountable for it.
Can you help a Cardiff team that is new to AI?
Yes. Our AI Works: Foundations workshop is an open half-day session in Cardiff for beginners at £300 per person, with dates announced in advance. Private sessions for your own team are built around your tools after a discovery call. Founders can also book one-to-one training on Zoom. See our AI training in Cardiff page for details.
How quickly can we get started?
The first step is a call with Rhodri on Zoom, which you can arrange by phoning 07949 255 466 or emailing hello@roddy.digital. If a website package fits, the scope is fixed after that conversation and the site goes live in 30 days. Larger projects and Growth Partnerships are scoped first, so the timeline depends on what we agree.
